A work of art with ancient history, handcrafted to produce a piece unlike any other. This form of art, hailing from Indonesia, is known as Batik and is created using layers of wax and colour, slowly building the intricate design one stage at a time.
This particular design features verse 19 of Surah Al-Imran: إِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْإِسْلَـٰمُ ۗ / "Indeed, the only religion in the sight of Allah is Islam," presented in elegant Arabic calligraphy on fabric.
