At this momentous time with the strategic hegemony of the Western powers burgeoning and the Muslim world so vulnerable in all spheres of life, particularly after the War On Terror, some of the Muslim scholars have ventured to take up this task of producing a book that comprehensively analyses the current political thinking within modern Islamic models.
The aims and objectives of this book include : (1) to explore and analyse the views of these thinkers on Islamic socio-political concepts and to present the Islamic critique of these thinkers on some dominant Western-political ideologies, (2) to highlight their views on the necessity of the revival of Islamic political concepts and institutions in the context of time and space and (3) to show their overall contribution to the contemporary Islamic resurgence.
