A translation of two chapters of Ghazali's The Revival of the Religious Sciences.
In the first text Ghazali explains how to acquire good character traits and cure sickness in the heart.
In the second text the author focusses on the questions on gluttony and sexual desire.
Overall this book proves interesting for anyone who is interested in the Sufi mysticism, comparative ethics and sexuality in Islam. As ever Ghazali backs up his arguements with an abundance of evidence from the Quran, Sunnah, Hadith and popular Sufi scholars.
With translation, introduction and notes by scholar T.J Winter.
