The book is an extension and elaboration of four lectures delivered by the scholars at the Hall of the comtemporary Arts Museum. The purpose of the lectures was to provide the main backgrounds of Shiite and Sunni political thoughts , how they were formed, what factors influenced them, and how they have reacted and are reacting to the deep and rapid developments, pressure and necessities of the contemporary period.
