Written by Luc Besson (of Leon fame), Yamakasi tells the story of 7 young Paris street runners, fabled for their free running/parkour stunts. When one of their young fans is injured whilst emulating them, they find themselves up against the French establishment - the health service, the police and their best friend - to raise the funds for the transplant that can save the young boy.
An action-packed, comedy, full of social commentary about France, the Paris suburbs and the institutional racism and social injustices embedded in this world.
